Granite is an intrusive rock, formed millions of years ago beneath the earth’s crust by magma flowing into deep pockets and cooling under tremendous pressure. It is highly crystalline with varied and large compositions of quartz, feldspar and mica, along with the presence, in lesser amounts, of dozens of other minerals. The result is an igneous rock with wide variations in colour, texture and veining that contribute to its natural beauty. It can be supplied in a number of finishes and its high strength and low porosity give it hard-wearing properties which make it an ideal material for kitchen or bathroom work surfaces.

Their production department produce some beautiful work, including many different edge details, samples of which we have on display. They specialise in recessed drainers, moulded and shaped sinks, fanned drainer grooves and many other unusual finishes, in addition to the standard work required for “Budget” worktops.
Their workmanship is second to none and the quality of a Landford Stone installation sets them apart from all the other fabricators. We are proud to say “They are the best”.
Once your kitchen or bathroom has been installed, their templaters will visit and make a template of the worktops required. Usually, five working days after the templating date, the worktops will be installed. With some of the materials, we ask that the client revisits and inspects the templates on the stone prior to manufacture, in order to agree the positioning of veining and cut outs. All finished work is sealed in the factory prior to despatch and will be sealed again by the fitting team upon installation. All their work is quality controlled and you can have total confidence in the long term attention you will receive, in the unlikely event of a problem with the material.
After the installation you will be given a care sheet and if appropriate, a care pack.
